Having spearheaded TheRightSideOfFunky in its many guises for over two decades the time felt right to move things up a gear. There was an itch that needed scratching and it was production that finally came calling!
Fast forward to TheBeatCollector and RightSideOfFunk Recordings creating emotionally charged & cinematic tracks with real depth. Blending influences from funk, hip hop, R&B and soul - all leaning on strong melodies, sharp writing, big ideas and crisp production.
The earlier releases were deliberately crafted to demonstrate musical versatility blending indie-pop vibes and recording capability whilst utilising talented up and coming vocalists to suit.
Now concentrating on following the positivity of the funk and soul that originally inspired this call to action, TheBeatCollector is collaborating with an ever evolving session band of horn players and an equally inspiring string ensemble.
